ARRIVAL IN N.Z.

SISTER KENNY NEW TREATMENT METHOD MEDICAL CONFERENCE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 15. Sister Elizabeth Kenny, the discoverer of a method of treating infantile paralysis in the United States and by the United States Medical Association, has arrived in Auckland from Sydney by flying-boat. Sister Kenny, who will leave for America on December 23, stated that she had come to present newer findings concerning; the disease and its treatmet to doctors and Health Department officers if thev desired them. She said she understood the meetings with the British Medical Association had been arranged in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, but she felt that so much flying would be a waste of time. Accordingly, she had sent a tele gram to the Prime Minister. Mr P. Fraser, suggesting one conference with members of the medical profession and officers of the Health Department. They would there have an opportunity of investigating her methods, which she would explain by the use of films, by a practical demonstration and by research in reports. This material Sister Kenny has already presented to 14 other countries. “I am satisfied that there is a contribution we can make from the Minnepolis Institute,” said Sister Keeny. “I nave presented a new concept of the disease which has been proved electrobiographically and pathologically. I will let doctors and tne health officers form their own judgment by an investigation before anything else is done at all. * If they do hot desire a conference, well it does not matter.”
