YOUTHFUL MURDERER LONDON, Dec, 12. The Home Secretary, Mr, Chester Ede, has reprieved Frederick Alfred Smith, aged 21, window cleaner, who was sentenced to death at Surrey Assizes on December 2 for having murdered a girl aged seven years in what is known as the “Babe in the Woods” case
