SURPRISE IN WELLINGTON CO-OPERATION URGED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 12. Considerable surprise is reported to have been caused in Wellington by the exclusion of trade union representatives from thp anti-pillaging bureau formed in Auckland. It is stated that the omission will not occur in Wellington should it be thought necessary to operate a similar organisation. The Wellington Chamber of Commerce, it is stated, has been considering the problem and it believes that interested unions such as seamen, watersiders, drivers and storeman packers, should be fully represented in any combination to deal with the prooWellington chamber’s viewpoint in this regard was, it was stated, expressed recently to the Auckland chamber. , . So far there has been no concerted action to form an anti-pillaging bureau in Wellington. _ T . _ Officials of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union expressed surprise that the trade unions seemed to have been ignored in the formation of the Auckland organisation.
