POSITION UNCHANGED

WELLINGTON DISTRICT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 13. The number of positive cases of infantile paralysis in Wellington Hospital remains unchanged at four. A 15-year-old Maori boy was admitted yesterday as a suspect but was later diagnosed as negative. One of the earlier suspects was also ruled out as a case of infantile paralysis. This leaves two suspicious cases still to be decided. .The medical officer of health at Wellington, Dr. H. Smith, said the shops and stores were co-operating further regarding the employment of children who would have contact with children, and he hoped by Monday that all retail stores would come into line with similar co-operation.
