STRIKE CALLED OFF

POWER BOARD WORKERS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 13. The strike by about 200 works employees of the Auckland Electric-Power Board was called off following a conference between the board and the disputes committee of .the Auckland Trades Council. The conference also averted a stoppage of work by sub-station operators who in a secret ballot during the afternoon voted by what was described as a “comfortable majority” to strike in support of the works employees.
