UNDERWRITERS’ TASK
BALLANTYNES FIRE LOSS (P A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 25. An accurate assessment of the loss involved in the destruction of Ballantynes building and its contents by fire is expected to take several months .. Thirty underwriters are concerned in the insurances on the building, contends and other risks and the Canterbury Fire Underwriters' Association has appointed a special sub-committee of three Insurance company managers to deal with the claims.
