AIR DEFENCE AGAINST POLAR ATTACK
(10 a an.) Washington, Nov. 32. Canadian and American air strategists conferred today on a long-range programme for the defence of the North American continent against a trans-Polar air attack. The Canadian delegation was headed by Air Marshal P. A. Curtis, Chief of Staff of the Royal Canadian Air Force, while American experts were led by General Carl Spaatz, Chief‘of Staff of the United States Army Air Force, who has repeatedly stated that American and Canadian cities are wide open to attack across the ice cap.
