TARANAKI FARMER
(P.A.) _ NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 8. The winner of the first prize of £2OOO in the “Lucky at Last” art union was Mr. A. W. Switalla, a well-known farm manager of the Davin Estate, Oaonui. He is single and an exserviceman of the First World War. His selection “Black Streak” as a nom-de-plume was prompted by the name of a racehorse he backed earlier on the day be bought the art union ticket.
