THREE PEOPLE INJURED
INTERSECTION ACCIDENT
MOTOR CYCLIST INVOLVED (P.A.) HASTINGS, Oct. 20.
Two elderly women pedestrians crossing a road were iniured when a motor cvclist. who also suffered serious iniuries. collided with them at about 5 p.m. on Saturday night. They are: Mrs Emma Wilson, of Whakatu, fractured leg. severe iniuries, shock; condition very serious.
Mr Warren R. Hakawhai, a young Maori of Fernhill, the rider of the motor cvcle. fractured base of skull,
concussion, condition very serious. Mrs Alice Ferguson, of Whakatu, sister of Mrs Wilson, head injuries, condition not serious.
The pedestrians were crossing a busy suburban road at an intersection when they were struck by the motor cycle. A pillion rider received abrasions, but was not admitted to hospital.
