AUSTRALIAN 220 YARDS SYDNEY. Oct. 18. In a special swim la Indoor baths the Australian breaststroke champion, John Davies, shattered the previous best time by an Australian for 220yds. Davies, who is 18 years old, covered the distance in 2min. 62.65ec., beating Frank McClure’s 2min. SS.Ssec.. established in 1932.
