PATERSON’S TITLES

FLYWEIGHT BOXING INJUNCTION GRANTED LONDON. Oct. 17. Jackie Paterson was granted an injunction in the Chancery Division restaining the British Boxing Board of Control from recognising anyone but himeelf as holder of the world. British and British Empire flyweight boxing championship. The court further restrained the board from authorising or recognising any contest for these titles in which Paterson is not a contestant. The court said the board could apply on two days’ notice to discharge the injunction. Stewards of the board will meet again to enable Paterson to call witnesses not available at the first hearing. Paterson, on July 16, collapsed before weighing in for a title bout with Dado Marino, which was cancelled. The board deprived Paterson of the three titles.' Mr. Jack Solomons, promoter, said later that the fight next Monday between Dado Marino and Rinty Monaghan would, as far as he was concerned, be for the world flyweight championship.
