PAPER EXPANSION
NO EXTRA NEWSPRINT CANBERRA, Oct. 18. Customs officials said they could not grant extra newsprint for a newspaper to increase its frequency of publication.
They were commenting on the report that the Communist Party paper, Tribune had applied for extra newsprint to publish a daily paper. The Customs - officials said the department had scores of applications for newsprint to start new papers, some dating back three years, but all had to stand over until more newsprint was available.
