SPIRITS, GRAIN, WOOL YORKSHIRE DOCKS FIRE UP TO £1,000,000 LOSS (9 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 19. •y'': A fire which engulfed a block, of '•’' customs warehouses on the docks at Goole, Yorkshire, caused damage estimated at £1,000,000. Brigades from Hfsix cities fought the fire which was - brought under control after three hours. , _ , Blazing sugar spread the flames to a 'store of barley and other grain, while whisky and rum increased the I intensity of the fire, destroyed 800 tons of sugar, 625 tons of cocoa beans, 1,298,000 small cartons of dried eggs and 370 tons of barley were destroyed, :■ and 1200 bales of wool were damaged.
