FLYING-BOAT ACCIDENT

NEW YORK, Oct. 17. The Civil Aeronautics Board will begin an investigation today into the Bermuda Queen’s forced landing in the Atlantic on Tuesday on a flight from Britain to Baltimore. Officials of the board said m Washington . that they intended to seek a legal showdown on the “apparent defiance” of the regulations by American International Airlines, the owners of the Bermuda Queen. The officials added that the company was specifically prohibitedd by American regulations from carrying anything except cargo across the ocean.
