Increase in Imports For the 11 months to August 31 there was an increase of 2160 tons in imports over the Gisborne wharves, according to the secretary’s statement presented to yesterday’s meeting of the Gisborne Harbour Board. During that time 45,380 tons of goods were imported, while 13,765 tons were exported, this being a decrease of 1487 tons on the equivalent period in 1946. Receipts for the 11 months ended August 31 showed a decrease of £6O, while payments dropped by £77. Receipts this year totalled £29,842 and payments, £73,907.
