(11 a.m.) JERUSALEM. Sept. 28 The Palestine Government announceci with the authority of the Colonial Secretary, Mr. A. Creech Jones, that, in the event of constitutional changes, tne Government would adequately safeguard the interests of Palestine Government officers and would make every effort to absorb the officers into other jobs in the colonial service and would allow those who did not wish to transfer to retire with compensation. 1 The British police would receive enhanced benefits on premature termination of their service.
