BIG SYDNEY ESTATES

SYDNEY, Sept. 27. The wills of two prominent Sydney men who left a total of £994,990 were granted probate in the Supreme Court. Sir Thomas Buckland, widower, of the suburbs of Hunter’s Hill, left £589,900 and Mr. Harold Percival Christmas, of Potts Point, founder of Woolworths in Australia, £405,090. Both men died in June.

Sir Thomas Buckland left £23,000 to relatives and friends and the remainder to charity. Mr. Christmas left the bulk of his estate to his widow, daughters and son.
