LAMB MINIMUM WEIGHT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. The recommendation that the Government should prohibit the killing of lambs under 301 b dressed weight before November 30 applied solely to lambs for local consumption, stated the primary industries’ controller, Mr. R. B. Tennent, when referring to the announcement published by the Aid-to-Britain Council regarding this recommendation.

Mr. Tennent said that if the- Government agreed to the proposal regulations would have to be gazetted at an early date. The recommendation would not apply to killings for export.
