£3854 SPENT ON CAR

N.Z. OFFICE IN LONDON (P.R.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 26. An item in the Estimates .of £3854 for the purchase of a new motor-car for the New .Zealand High Commissioner in London was queried by Mr. F. W. Doidge (Oppos., Tauranga), in the House of Representatives. He asked: “What manner of car is this? One would think it was a Rolls-Royce.” The Prime Minister: It is.
