PRICES FOR CROPS
ADJUSTMENTS TO BE MADE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 26. Farmers could be assured that the adjusted prices for annual crops for the 1947-48 season would take into account the extra costs likely to be incurred during the season from loss of subsidies, said the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. E. L. Cullen, today. The Minister, recalling his earlier announcement that price adjustments would be made, said the Department of Agriculture was collaborating with the Stabilisation Commission in making the adjustments, but the work could not be completed for several weeks. However. farmers having an assurance that the detailed work of price adjustment would be pushed ahead as rapidly as nossible. should not hesitate to follow the cropping plans set in the aid-for-Britain campaign.
