EARLY POTATOES

CROP IN GISBORNE GOOD MARKET WAITING “Gisborne growers of potatoes will have little, difficulty in disposing of all their produce as soon as they are ready as the old potato supplies are just about finished and very few are now left in the South Island for shipment." said Mr. R. G C. Ffitch. officer in charge of the produce section of the Internal Marketing Division, when in Gisborne this week. Asked for information concerning progress at Pukekohe, particularly the early potatoes grown there. Mr Ffitch said little was expected from Pukekohe in October, a medium crop in November, and a fair quantity in December.
