3 DEAD; 11 MISSING

PLANE CRASHES INTO SEA BOLIVIA-U.S. FLIGHT (10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 21. Three persons were killed and 11 are missing after a United States Army transport plane crashed into the sea off the coast of Peru. The aircraft was carrying eight American army officers, one American woman and five Bolivian Army officers from Lapaz .to the United States. The bodies of Colonel Juan Antonio Revera, inspector of Bolivia’s Air Force the American woman and an American army sergeant have been recovered. Fishermen said they saw four passengers with lifebelts struggling to reach the beach, but they were drowned.
