Mr T. D. Lewis has been elected unopposed as an executive member of tlie Government Railways Appeal Board to represent the first division, states a notice in last night’s Gazette.—P.A. Mr. Osborne G. Stevens, barrister and solicitor. Clyde. Central Otago, has been appointed the industrial efficiency appeal authority to determine appeals against decisions of the Bureau of Industry under the Industrial Efficiency Act- This appointment, which was announced in Wellington yesterday by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr. A. H. Nordmeyer, is to fill the vacancy caused bv the resignation of Sir Francis Frazer.—S.R.
