FILM STAR FANS VACUOUS
LONDON, July 30. The Rev. F. C. Baker, of St. Mary le Bow Church, London, gave the following homily on vacuity: “If you want evidence of the vacuity of mind and distorted sense of life values of the snob today, you have it by the way thousands idiotically stood for hours recently to got a glimpse of film stars. “I cannot imagine thousands standing for three minutes to get a glimpse of me, though 1 could qualify for a film star's job in three months, but a film star would not qualify for my job under three years.” He was referring to rnobs which greeted Rita Hayworth and Barbara Stanwyck some time ago.
PAKISTAN CONSTITUTION

The appointments, including those of provincial Governors and High Court judges will be made by the GovernorGeneral, Mr Jinnah and not the King. Thus the Governor-General has full authority to act for the King. Judges or members of the Legislature will not swear allegiance to the Crown but to the constitution of Pakistan.
