P.B. LADIES’ GOLF MRS. ROBB TAKES TITLE SEVEN UP AND FIVE After being one up in the morning round, Mrs R. G. Robb increased the margin yesterday afternoon to defeat tlie title-holder, Mrs R. F. Hutchinson, seven up and five, in the final of the senior championship of the P.B. Ladies’ Golf Club. In the junior division final, Mrs II G. Kemp defeated Mrs W. D. Barker, four and two. Ideal weather conditions favoured the play and the fairways and greens were in excellent order. Play was very even over the first 18 holes with very little to choose between the senior finalists. Mrs. Robb made some good recovery shots and appeared to have moro confidence on the greens than her opponent, whose putting was upset by several unlucky strokes from which the ball rested near tli lip of the hole. The totals for the morning round were: Mrs. Robb, 86; Mrs. Hutchinson, 88.

Commencing the afternoon round one up, Mrs Robb went on to increase the lead by winning the next four hole 3 in succession with three bogeys and one over. The fifth war halved and the sixth was won by Mrs. Robb, who was on the green with her tee shot. A beautiful approach shot to within a few inches of the pin at the seventh won the hole for Mrs. Hutchinson with a bogey four. Both players were driving well at this stage, but Mrs. Robb was more accurate around and on the greens. Six Up at Turn Mrs. Hutchinson was stymied at the eighth, but failed to hole out and Mrs. Robb furthei increased her lead to be six up at the turn. The tenth was halved in fours, while thl eleventh was won by Mrs. Hutchinson. Mrs. Robb knocking her opponent’s ball in for two At the twelfth Mrs. Robb had three verj good shots to the green, while Mrs. Hutchin sou found tlie bunker and conceded the hole The match ended at the thirteenth, of thi thirty-first hole of the match, making Mrs. Robb seven up with five to go. A very even contest over the first nine holes was played in the final of the junior championships between Mrs. H. G .Kemp and Mrs. W. D. Barker, the majority of the holes being halved. Mrs. Kemp was one up at the turn, but Mrs. Barker drew level again and for the next few holes there was even pegging. The thirteenth was won by Mrs Kemp, who also won the next three to win the match four and two to play. Very good golf was played by both, Mrs. Kemp being slightly steadier throughout.
