INTER-DISTRICT GAMES
NAPIER CLUB’S VISIT MATCH WITH R.S.A. By “Dribbler” Return matches in the inter-district club series will be conducted by the Poverty Bay and Hawke’s Bay Football Associations tomorrow when R.S.A. seniors and Rovers juniors will be playing visiting Napier clubs on *the Gisborne ground and six local teams will be competing in the southern centre. In the initial matches of this series. June 28, Hawke’s Bay clubs won four of the seven games contested Eight games have been arranged on this occasion and two trophies will be at stake, one being the Carlson Shield, won lor the first time by Napier H.5.0.H., R.S.A.’s opponents on Saturday. H. 5.0.8. are this year’s senior champions in the Hawke’s Bay competition and won their previous encounter with R.S.A. very convincingly. However, R.S.A., playing on their own ground, should extend Napier tomorrow. As a curtain-raiser Rovers juniors meet th« Napier High School club team. At Napier Thistle seniors will defend tin Mercantile Cup in a challenge game with United which the junior teams of these twr clubs will also meet. Other game** will hi played between Wanderers seniors and juniors and Watersiders, and Eastern Union. I*, am T. and Rovers. The draw and referee appointments for tin games in Gisborne are: Juniors.—l.ls p.m.: Gisborne Rovers v. Napier High School, No. 1 ground, Mr. W. Allen. Seniors.—2.3o p.m.: R.S.A. v. Napiei H. 5.0.8., No. 1. Mr. R. Waugh.
