NEW GOLF RECORD

LONDON, Sept. 3. The English professional golfer, J. Hargreaves, with 64, established a new record Tor the Stoke Poges course, playing in the Penfold Thousand Guineas tournament. Prior to today Hargreaves held the record with 66. Then earlier today S. King broke this record when he returned 65. King had only one five on his card and was four under fours for the last seven holes. Hargreaves played the last nine holes in 30. He had a run of five successive threes. The leading scores were: Hargreaves 64, King 65, L. Ayton 67, Von Nida 68, A. Lees, R. A. Whitcombe, A. G. Matthews and C. 11. Ward 69. K. Adwick ami W. Graham 70, F. Bullock. C. Denny, E.
