CRASH INTO SEA
BRITISH FLYING-BOAT (10 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 24. A British Overseas Airways Corporation flying-boat, bound from Hong Kong to England, crashed into the sea when landing at Bahrein early today. Seven passengers and three members of the crew are missing, believed killed. Five of the 15 known survivors were admitted to hospital,one being seriously injured. Ten of the passengers were British, including Lord Stanley, of Alderley, and Air Commodore Allan Hesketh, who were both uninjured. The remainder of the passengers comprised Indians, Chinese and Burmese.
