RECORD DRIVE BY “LIMBIE” GOLFER
(11 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 12. A one-armed golfer, John Lithgo who lost his right limb in an accident as a boy, hit a drive 300 yards. It was one of the longest drives ever made by a one-armed player and was recorded during the one-armed Golfers’ Society tournament. There was a slight following wind and the ground was very dry.
