WIDENING OF HIGHWAY
Notice of the .nlention of the Main Highways Board to widen the main highway from the borough boundary to the vicinity of Matawhero and a suggestion that the portion of Gladstone road between Lytton road and Chalmers road be brought into line with this scheme was received by the Gisborne Borough Council last evening. A discussion took place on what action should be taken to prevent people building in locations which would be affected by the schemes and the town clerk was instructed to make inquiries as to what steps would be appropriate.-
