LOCAL BODY POLLS NOVEMBER ELECTIONS MAYORAL ISSUE DEFERRED Selections of Labour nominees for public office, whose names will b , e submitted to the electors at the local body polls in November, were discussed at a meeting of the Gisborne Labour Representation Committee held last evenparty tickets were endorsed by the committee for all seats available on local authorities with the exception ot the Mayoralty, in connection with which an announcement will be deferred in the meantime. Those whose names were approved for other polls were:— Gisborne Borough Council.—Mrs E. R. Scott and Messrs G. D. Muirhead, R. Morse, J. H. Flail, E. C. Richards, W Harnett, D. J. Moran, E. Tucker and J. A. Thomas. Cook Hospital Board.—Mesdames E. R. Scott and K. Tucker, and Messrs J. H. Hall, G. D. Muirhead and w. Harnett. , _ Gisborne Harbour Board.—Messrs R. Morse, J. A. Thomas, D. J. Moran, and W. Harnett. P.B. Electric-Powcr Board.—Messrs G. D. Muirhead. J. FI. Hall, W. Harnett and E. C. Richards.
