THREE-POWER MEETING

GERMAN INDUSTRY LEVEL (11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 10. The Secretary of State, Mr George Marshall, notified France yesterday that the United States is prepared to agree, without delay to a three-Power meeting on raising the level of industry in the Anglo-American sector of Germany. The participants would be Britain, France and the United States. Mr Marshall also stated that the United States was similarly prepared to receive and discuss French views on the management and control of tha Ruhr coal mines.

France, on July 18, protested against an imoending Anglo-American agreement for increasing German industrial production. The United States thereupon suspended the announcement of the agreement until France had had tha opportunity to discuss the issue with the United States and Britain.
