BRITISH FIRMS BAN

TRADE WITH RUSSIA PRINCIPLES AT STAKE (10 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 10. Mr. Richard Stokes, Labour M.P., has banned all trade between Russia and his firm of Ransomes and Rapier, Ltd., which are manufacturers of large quantities of excavators. The decision will mean the loss of business worth several thousand sterling which Russia had alreadv offered the firm. Mr. Stokes said: “I don’t propose to accept orders from Russia until the Baltic States have been freed and Russia sets free 17,000,000 people of many nationalities who are held in slave labour camps for no other reason than that they were the so-called bourgeoisie.” ______________
