THREE AIRMEN KILLED
RADAR TEST AIRLINER (10.15 a.m.) NEW YORK. Aug 10. Three men were killed when a DC J experimental radar aircraft , OW Led by American Airlines, crashed m Boweiy Bay off La Guardia Airport. The aircraft carried no passengers. Two members of the crew survived. A company official said the plane landed half in and half out o- the water. \
After one engine failed the pilot apparently attempted to put the aircraft down on the runway, but it o\ershot the airfield.
