Further Remand for Accountant

A man whose name was suppressed was further remanded to Monday next when he appeared before Messrs. J. D. Muirhead and W. Harnett, J.Ps., in the Magistrates Court today. He was charged that on July 1, 1947, at Opo tiki with intent to defraud he obtained from Edwin Wilfred Oswald the sum ot of £lO bv means of a valueless cheque. Detective-Sergeant R. H. Waterson applied for the remand. Mr. J. .S. Wauchop was granted a continuation of the order for suppression of the accused’s name. He made no application tor bail.
