SHIPPING STRIKE OVER
PAY INCREASE GRANTED (11 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 22. Pacific ship-owners anil the G’.1.0. seafaring unions have announced a settlement of the dispute which threatened a Jong hold-up of Pacific shipping. The settlement provided for a 5 per cent wage increase and nine days’ holiday a year.
