TOURNEY FOR AUSTRALIA LONDON. June 19. The Billiards Association and Control Council has gained the Professional Billiards Association of Australia and authority to hold the 1949 world championships in Australia. The Australian association is a new organisation for which the Lindrum family is principally responsible. The championships will be the first, since 1934 when Walter Lindrum beat Joe Davis.
