DUTCH SHIP LOST

BATAVIA JPORT FIRE SABOTAGE SUSPECTED RUBBER SUPPLIES BURNT (10 a.m.) BATAVIA, May 2. Sabotage is suspected to be the cause of a lire last night which razed the Godown, owned by the Rotterdam Lloyd shipping line, in Batavia harbour, destroying, among other goods, 5000 tons of rubber which was seized in March from the American freighter Martin Behrmarfn. The Netherlands Shipping Line’s flagship Oranje, which served as a hospital ship during the war, was among the .vessels which had to be towed to safety. The damage is estimated at 1,000,000 Dutch guilders.
