PERSIA’S REFUSAL
AIR SERVICE MONOPOLY SOVIET-PERSIAN COMPANY (10 a.m.) LONDON, May 2. The British United Press correspondent in Teheran says that Persia turned down renewed Russian demands for the immediate formation of a joint RussoPersian air company to operate in northern Persia, saying that since it signed the international air agreement in Washington it cannot grant monopolistic concessions to any single nation. Persia also asked that the Russians withdraw all their planes that are now using aerodromes in northern Persia.
