NAVY MAY WORK TOWER BRIDGE

TRAFFIC CHAOS CAUSED BY STRIKE (11- a.m.) LONDON, May 2. The Ministry of Labour stated that, in view of the serious inconvenience and losses which the closing of Tower Bridge to road traffic had caused, it had been decided to use alternative labour to operate the bridge. Reuter’s Agency understands that the bridge will be reopened tomorrow with a naval contingent operating it.
