RECEPTION UPSET

N.Z. DAVIS CUP TEAM LATE ARRIVAL IN LONDON (11 a.m.) LONDON, April 30. A large number of guests and members of the Overseas League assembled at the league’s headquarters in London this evening to welcome New Zealand’s Davis Cup tennis team but the reception had to be held without the guesjts of honour. Their ship was diverted because of waterfront industrial troubles and the team was not due at Tilbury until two hours later than the arranged time for the ceremony. Members of the team will be guests of the Overseas League tonight. They will go to Holland on Thursday to play tuning-up matches before meeting Norway at Oslo in the Davis Cup round on May 15 and May 17.
