Mrs. E. V. B. Simpson, Manutuke, left yesterday by air for Hamilton, where she will spend a holiday. Her husband will join her later. Visitors to Almadale Guest House at present include Mr and Mrs Gorton, Mr and Mrs Smith, Mr and Mrs Toye, Mr and Mrs Tracy, Mrs Blundell, all of Napier; and Mr and Mrs Davis, Christchurch. Mr and Mrs R Hamilton, Napier, have left Gisborne after visiting Mr Hamilton’s parents. Mr and Mrs Phil Hamilton, Harris street. Mr and Mrs A. L. Perry, Ngatapa, were visitors to Hastings last week-end. A recent visitor to Gisborne from Clive, Hawke’s Bay, has been Mrs Cook Wilson. Lt. Commander D. Mckay, Auckland, was expected to arrive at Turihaua station to-day and will be the guest of Mr and Mrs’ H. B. Williams. Accompanied by Miss Kay Bell, Havelock North, Miss Jan Williams returned to her home at Turihaua station yesterday. Mr and Mrs W. S. Norman and their small daughter, Royce, formerly of Hamilton, have returned to Gisborne. Mrs Norman will be remembered as the former Marion Campbell. They are at present staying with Mrs Norman’s parents, Awapuni road. Mr and Mrs A. C. Wood, with their daughter, Miss J. Wood, Hicks Bay, have just concluded a three weeks holiday in Hawke's Ba v and were in Gisborne over the last few days. They left for Ruatoria yesterday and will stay with M:: and Mrs O. T. Williams there, before going on to Hicks Bay. Miss Eve Smith, Haitaitai. is spending a holiday in Gisborne as the guest of Mr and Mrs Gordon Jones. Wainui road. Miss Smith is the elder daughter of Mr W. Smith, Secretary of Marine, and Mrs Smith, formerly Miss Alice Jones of Gisborne. Mrs G. E. Emms, who left Gisborne last Friday morning by air. arrived in Tasmania on Sunday afternoon, accord--* ing to advice received by Mr Emms. Mrs Emms transferred to four different aircraft during her trip.
