SEED TEST DELAYS

When delays in the receipt of germination and purity tests were mentioned on Tuesday afternoon Io the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. E. L. Cullen, by Mr. Stuart McGuinness at a deputation of the Gisborne-East Coast provincial district of the Federated Farmers of New Zealand, Mr. Cullen explained that there had been difficulties at the seed-testing station at Palmerston North, but he had understood that the position had improved. Mr Cullen said there had been a shortage of'skilled labour at the station. He said he would make inquiries to learn what returns had not been sent back to Gisborne.
