“REPORT UNTRUE”

GOLDEN BAY WORKS ACCUMULATION OF STOCKS PLANT ON FULL TIME (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 29. An allegation made at a meeting of (he Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Professional Engineers' Association that cement at the Tarakohe works was being dumped in the sea because of the difficulty of carting it away was emphatically denied to-day by Mr. J. H. Jennings, manager of the Golden Bay Cement Company. "The allegation has absolutely no foundation. We would not be so mad,” said Mr. Jennings. "It is correct that we have very full stocks—thousands of tons we would like to get rid of, but till we get more rapid shipping we cannot do more than we are doing now to clear stocks.” Mr. Jennings added that the plant was not working short time.
