N.Z. DAVIS CUP TEAM

SEVERE HANDICAP ONLY 2 WEEKS’ PRACTICE (By Radio) ON BOARD RAKAIA. April 28. The New Zealand Davis Cup team is faced with a severe handicap in lack of time for practice. The party is keen and in good health. They will arrive in England on April 30. It is expected that they will leave for Holland next day to play one match and that they will play their first Davis Cup match in Norway in the Middle of May. There is little chance in that time of properly adapting themselves to different conditions of play. With a month of nothing more than physical jerks, they have only two weeks to reach top form.
