TRIESTE GOVERNOR

RUSSIA’S NEW NOMINEE NORWEGIAN JUDGE (10 a.m.) NEW YORK. April 26. Russia has nominated a former Norwegian Foreign Minister, M. Terje Wold, for the governorship of Trieste. The nomination has to be approved by the other Big Five Governments. _ It is Russia's second nomination. The other Powers rejected the Swedish Senator. M. George Branting. M. Wold is at present a Supreme Court judge. He was the Norwegian representative on the Allied War Crimes Commission and delegate to the United Nations’ first General Assembly in London in 1946 and also to the Paris Peace Conference.
