ARAB REJECTION
PARTITION PLAN STATEMENT TO U.N. JEWISH STATE OPPOSED WASHINGTON. April 25. The Arab headquarters in a statement on Palestine to a United Nations delegation rejected the partition idea and also opposed the establishment of a Jewish State in any part of Palestine. Furtherfore, the Arabs rejected the proposal for a bi-national State based upon political parity. The Arab statement contended that the solution of the Palestine problem must recognise the principle that the people who have the greatest interest in Palestine were its rightful inhabitants, and a representative Government should be based upon equal rights for all citizens in one undifferentiated community in Palestine. The statement was prepared under the supervision of Musa Alami, directorgeneral of the Arab headquarters in London, Washington and Jerusalem.
