The New Zealand women cricketers, —an unofficial party. —who toured Australia travelled 5000 miles, played eight matches, won six. drew one and lost one, returned in the Wahine yesterday One result of the tour is that teams from New South Wales and Queensland will probably come to New Zealand in October. The captain of the team, Mrs T. M. Lamason, said that in Sydney the crowds, were not over keen on. their 'games, but in the smaller towns great crowds turned out to watch them play. “We had to pay our own travelling expenses.” said Mrs Lamason. “but the Australians Raid for all our accom modStion. They could not do enough for us.”
