STRIKE CALLED OFF
MELBOURNE NEWSPAPERS MELBOURNE, April 21. The striking members of the Victorian Printing Operatives' Union decided at a mass meeting yesterday to return to work in the newspaper offices on a date to be mutually agreed upon at a conference with the employers. Their claim for the recent 7s a-week increase in the basic wage will be referred to an independent arbitrator. '
