80 PER CENT DIED
INMATES OF NAZI CAMPS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 22. "Eighty per cent of the inmates died of starvation, disease and infected wounds. This did not include those who were purposely killed.” In these brief sentences Mrs. M. Strzemienska, who arrived in the Arawa to-day to join her husband, a former vice-consul in New Zealand for Poland, summarised her experiences in German concentration camps during the war. To-day's reunion with her husband followed nine years of enforced separation. They intend making their home in Wellington.
